He@lthCare Solutions make change happen
Explanation in a nutshell - He@lthCare Solutions deploy specialist Estates and Energy skills to install modern energy efficient plant into public buildings - normally NHS Trusts. The costs of this work is often repaid through guaranteed future savings. We have considerable experience at deploying £m of grants and have several schemes with stage 1 approval under the NHS Energy Efficiency/ Sustainability fund. We work with the NHS to develop and procure schemes. We do not bid schemes working solely as temporary members of the Trusts own Estates dept. Busy NHS Estates departments are no longer able to devote much resource to specialist energy schemes. By having us as part of your team we can inject the skills and experience to manage the injection of grant or other capital into Trust infrastructure. Estates infrastructure is otherwise is at the bottom of the Trust capital allocation list. Finance departments love our schemes because we do not generally need trust capital or revenue over and above what is currently being spent. We turn
Into He@lthCare Solutions played an important role in some of the pioneering large PFI schemes - advising Trusts on Facilities costs and best value. In one instance our help saved £600,000 in annual payment. We have Carbon Trust approved consultants, and have been involved in the current NHS £100m grant process. To function effectively as experts on NHS Support Services we maintain a full set of Estates & Facilities skillsets. This has lead naturally to our third line of business - Interim management within NHS Trusts Estates & Facilities depts. Recently we have supplied Director level interim managers to Surrey & Sussex NHS Trust - where we ran Estates for 15 months, Homerton Hospital where we ran the entire Estates & Facilities organisation for 18 months and Bedforshire Shared Services where we ran Estates & Facilities for 2 years. We are currently supporting a medium sized ( £48m ) PFI/3PD project for Blackpool. How we work to upgrade your site at no cost Every Hospital requires improvement and thus investment of some sort. This might range from combined heat and power plant that will generate energy and environmental benefits, through to replacement of standby generators, medical waste or other investment that may not save energy but may be vital to the patient experience. What we do is design a package of money saving and other essential work, so that there will be enough savings to pay for the total investment ( plus maintenance ) over a medium term period of 10-15 years. We have well established models that support full or partial grant funding. Company Profile We are ex-NHS Estates & Facilities Managers who became frustrated by the fact that infrastructure upgrades, no matter how cost effective, cannot compete with clinical priorities for capital investment. Our team comprises Chartered Engineers, Ex Heads of Estates & Facilities, Ex NHS Estates and WHCSA staff as well as contractual and financial specialists. All have supported projects from concept to completion and know all the wrinkles. " This is the only way we could have met energy targets given the financial pressures on the Trust " - Allan Morley Head of Estates , Kingston Trust " I am delighted that we have managed to completely modernise our energy infrastructure at no additional cost to the Trust " Andy Hudson, Project manager Shrewsbury " Our Energy scheme has provided us with new facilities, with generous grant support and a 15 year PPP contract that takes a headache away from the Trust for 15 years " Robert Anderson, Head of Facilities Heartlands "HCS delivered three Carbon Trust grant funded projects, 3/4 of all the hospitals funded", CEP summary " The HCS PPP/grant model delivers the optimal carbon savings per £1 of NHS grant funds " Report to DOH grant team Apart from acting for a number of NHS Trusts, our staff have worked with all the major contractors in this field. We know how they work, and how they charge. Contact Information He@lthCare Solutions operates out of facilities in Lancashire, Cumbria, Surrey and Somerset.
